Segun was arrested on April 28 2024, and arraigned on April 30 2024 at the Magistrate Court in Ikorodu. He was accused of stealing three pairs of trousers, one belt, a pair of slippers, and a crossbag all valued at N30,000 (Thirty Thousand Naira Only). On arraignment, he pleaded not guilty to the charge, and the court admitted him a bail sum of N100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) with one surety. However, he could not perfect his bail due to financial constraints.
